Can someone tell me how Group Policy knows when to get applied? If I make a ploicy to install Java and test it, it works,. But then if I manually uninstall Java and run it again, it does not install. If I then take the Java policy and copy it, I can assign the copied policy to the OU and it once again installs. GP acts as if it knows that it ran on a certain machine and dhen stops trying to do it any more fro that machine.
This leads me to another question - If i make a GPO that copies an executable to a machine and also runs a logon command to run that executable, does Group Policy copy the file every time? does the logon command get run every time?
Thanks in advance for any clarification.
