Hi guys!
I am trying to hire a developer for a small WPF application + Windows service project. I have hired another developer (consultant) to help me interview the candidates as I have no development skills myself to assess the applicants. We had interviews probably 15-20 applicants already, many of them through Upwork, as well as some other sources and they all fail to answer what my interviewing consultant says are elementary questions. Applicants all claim to have years of WPF experience though. The following are some of the questions the consultant is asking during the phone interview;
1. What is a "Dependency Property"
2. What is a "Dependency Object"
Here is my question; Is it possible to be half decent WPF developer and not be able to answer the above questions? I am beginning to suspect that my interviewing consultant may have unreasonable expectations and it may be possible to develop a decent code without knowing the high level/basic concepts.
Any thoughts/ideas are appreciated!
P.S. If you have some set of good WPF interview questions, please share.
Thanks!
