Directx 9: getting image size depending on resolution?

I am using DirectX9 in my PC. it seems that the image size depends on Directx 9 resolution.
but how can i calculate it?
i get the image size from original image file. but the resolution window\Directx is more big. so how can i calculate the image size depending on resolution?
