Interfacing Excel with Visual studio

Hello, I am a fairly new user attempting to save a string from a .xaml window to excel using visual studio 2010 and I'm having a hard time understanding the binding source methodology. I would like to save the input in an individual textbox into an individual cell in an excel spread sheet. Is this possible to do?
