We have developed an application with the ability to swipe from each side of the screen for extra functionality.
This works perfectly on legacy copies of Windows but when running in Windows 8 (8.1) the charms bar becomes an annoyance.
I have done extensive research into a way to disable to charms bar, I have found way to disable the corners but not the swipe. It appears this is due to Windows 8 apps being able to use the charms bar and there for not wanting to be able to disable this.
So my question is there a way that we can disable/avoid the charms bar? Maybe raise the application above it?
Thanks in advance,
Oliver
