Here's the functionality to be supplied:
Display a UI element whose contents consist of ASCII data being sent and received. The two data streams are on separate lines so that the relative send/receive times are visually evident. In other words, the character that arrived/left first is to the left of the character that arrived/left later. The data stream wraps so that when the contents of the current row exceed the available width of the window it is wrapped to the next row. Further, when the contents of the exceed the available display space enable a vertical scroll bar. Dynamically re-arrange the contents in response to changes in the control's dimensions.
The basic problem to be solved is to monitor an RS-232 conversation whose data contents are ASCII in a read only fashion.
