saving the canvas

Hi all,
 Iam new to wpf . In my application  i am having grid ,inside the grid element I am having Canvas control . Inside that I am will be having some image element which will change the positions at runtime . is  there any options available to save the  canvas element and its childrens position  in one file and reopen it next time by using that file.
