Can WPF allow you to control the visibility of different layers in a .PNG file?

Hello All,

I want to create a very visually appealing application, which is circular. The background image is circular, and it will have two lines in the circle, dividing it into four quadrants. If the user hovers over each quadrant, I want to have that quadrant change visually - what I have in mind is that the colour should change ( i will play around with opacity etc in InkScape to make it pretty... )

I plan to have a .PNG file (vector, with different layers) and was wondering if I will be able to achieve this effect using WPF, since I know that WPF is very GUI driven. You know, the question is really if I can manipulate the visibility of a vector image layer from WPF.

Sooooooooo, if you have any ideas or suggestions, on how this can be done, please drop me a line or two or three?

Harriet
