I am applying for a role as a wpf (mvvm) developer. They would like me to explain the difference between loosely coupled and not loosely coupled. I am thinking the following in terms of loosely coupled -- to repair a component (say an electrical component) of a 1960s-1970s era jet engine required that the engine be removed from the airplane and practically disassembled. In the newer age jet engines the components are more independent of the aircraft and only the component requiring attention needs to be removed to be worked on. Would this be a reasonable explanation of loosely coupled (for a non tech person) ?
