I have a small WPF application which is running across the enterprise. Most of the computers are Windows 7 and only a handful of them are running Windows XP. Windows 7 editions are fine whereas in Windows XP alone we find isolated issues.
All the application does are below:
- Show a simple application menu.
- Keep ticking the timer.
- Record Statuses
- Change Statuses. It is an internal messaging application like Yahoo Messenger.
In Windows XP, after the computer is locked/idle for one hour and the session is resumed, when we focus on the application the menu which comes up after clicking an image button does not come up.
The memory seems to be fine and not much hogging there however I find CPU cycles constantly hovering around 1/2 which is not the case with other deployments in Windows 7. However the application is responsive as well.
The logging does not have any indicators both in System log or application's verbose log.
Can some help what may be issues with sections of the application failing like menu not loading on Windows XP alone? Or to inspect and where?
